    The University of Victoria and the University of Victoria Faculty Association recently negotiated a collective agreement for the period from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. For more information on contract changes and transition, see the following links. Collective bargaining with the university`s six groups of unionized workers takes place every two years. As of April 2020, the University of Victoria successfully concluded negotiations with the six members of its staff following negotiations that began in 2019. Regular faculties, temporary departments and librarians are represented by the Faculty Association in collective bargaining with UVic. On 7 The agreements between the University of Victoria and CUPE 951 and CUPE 917 were ratified on 1 April. Previously, agreements were concluded and ratified with CUPE Local 4163 (Streams 1, 2 and 3), the PEA and the Faculty Association. In total, UVic`s 6,468 unionized employees are now covered by provisional or ratified collective agreements negotiated as part of the provincial bargaining mandate.
